Hey, I’m Kate

I am passionate about crafting user-focused digital experiences that solve important problems with beautiful solutions.

My journey into design started at Wesleyan University, where I studied cultural anthropology. For my capstone project, I wrote a thesis that explores the pitfalls and potential of mindfulness as a force of self and social transformation under neoliberalism. My background in ethnographic research informs my work as a designer, lending a critical lens to my practice and a distinct approach to understanding users’ needs.

During and after college, I took design classes at RISD and UCLA, where I honed my craft and narrowed my focus to the digital sphere. I learned front-end development and honed my expertise in UX/UI. Today I focus exclusively on designing complex digital products.

In my free time, I cook and eat (Los Angeles is my favorite food city) and play tennis. I love to spend time with my partner Emma and dog Lu exploring the trails in Elysian Park, near our home.

I currently work at Hinge Health, where I’m designing experiences that empower folks to seek care for treatable pelvic health disorders, across all life stages.
